8 Tips to help you organize your fertility testing and or treatment abroad
Plan Ahead: The key to avoiding last-minute panic? Preparation. Get as much as you can organised well in advance, so you can travel with peace of mind. If you can, try and quieten down your schedule, give yourself the time and space that you need prior to your fertility treatment like IVF abroad, IUI or egg donation in Europe.
Know where to go locally if needed whether you live in the UK, America or somewhere else if this is part of your protocol and treatment plan, for example arranging fertility ultrasound scans, semen analyses and blood work, or you can of course make arrangements to have these done at the IVF clinic you have chosen and if you are going long haul, for example America to Spain for your fertility treatment then it makes more sense to have all of your treatment locally at the clinic you have chosen abroad.

Make sure you have budgeted for your fertility treatment and have understood exactly what is and is not included in your treatment and any extras that may need to be considered. Also understand from the clinic how and when things need to be paid for.
Self-Care: This journey can be challenging and emotionally taxing, so don't forget to take care of yourself. Prioritise relaxation and find ways to manage any travel-related stress, let those around you help too. Maybe try journaling and check out my planner and journal for somewhere to document your thoughts and feelings, as well as much more.
Flexibility is Key: Things don't always go as planned, especially when it comes to fertility treatment and when you're travelling. Stay flexible and roll with the small things - it'll make the journey a whole lot easier.
If you are unsure about anything make sure that you ask your Coordinator contact that clinic or your Fertility Doctor for their help and don’t be afraid to ask more questions if things aren’t clear and if you don’t understand something.
Have and Lean on Your Support System: Ask for help if you need it. Whether it's from friends, family, or online communities, don't hesitate to reach out for support. You do not need to do this alone.
